Kudos to Hugh and his fantastic group of stone artisans for making my patio vision come to life. Even though it was a relatively small project for them and I kept changing my scope of work both before and during construction, the team was great to work with. We are very happy with the results and can't wait to put the finishing touches on our outdoor living space.
Where do I even begin? We wanted a Patio of our dreams, and I got several quotes from the leading companies in the Greater Atlanta area because I wanted nothing but the best. Based on various factors including the unique design that was presented as well as outstanding reviews for Stoneage Stonescapes, we decided to hire them. And I am so thankful for that decision. Ours was a large project - a combination of several small projects including a gas Fire-pit, a large Water Feature, an Outdoor Kitchen complete with Grill, Refrigerator, Stove, etc, a Pergola with Swing, an expansive Landscape with hundreds of plants/trees, and a Fenced area for Raised Garden Beds. Hugh Dixon (Owner/Project Manager) was extremely detailed oriented and took pride in his work. Every detail was executed with precision and care, from the quality of the materials to the thoughtful layout. Even after a feature was completed, I would often see Hugh observing and changing something (that I saw no issues with) until he was satisfied. Hugh never cut corners and listened to all of our suggestions, even made last minute changes when we changed our mind on something. And the end result was simply spectacular. Our friends and neighbors say they had never seen such an expertly laid and meticulously installed flagstone patio. Hugh’s team was extremely professional and punctual. When they would leave at the end of a hard work day, they would clean the entire area, wash as needed and will leave the work area spick and span. Some of the other companies I had gotten quotes from told me that I would need to hire additional companies/people - for example for sprinklers relocation, or for bringing a larger gas line for the fire pit (because I wanted a roaring fire), or for any carpentry work etc. Hugh’s team did everything from A to Z for me, no additional help needed from anywhere else. Hugh had promised to wow me, and I must say he more than kept his promise. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident in every feature, and we’re thrilled with how the entire project has turned out. First question anyone who sees my patio and landscape asks is who did I hire for my Patio Project and can they get the contact information of the company. StoneAge StoneScapes transformed my backyard with a beautiful stone patio. The crew was prompt and efficient. The work area was kept pretty tidy, and they minimized any disruption to my yard. The workmanship itself was excellent. They clearly prepped the area thoroughly, ensuring a perfectly flat base for the patio. The stone layout they created is visually pleasing, the colors and selection of stone looks lovely. They incorporated a pipe under the patio to divert water from a gutter, and after the first couple rains, it has worked great! Found Hugh to be pleasant and extremely helpful with the design of our patio extension and in his ability to keep us informed throughout the construction phase. His experienced crew were on-site early, friendly and provided quality workmanship. The site was maintained in a safe and organized fashion. Clean-up was never an issue. High marks for Hugh's timely response in addressing a problem ten months after the project was initially completed. Hugh and the Stone Age crew built an amazing fireplace for us! Hugh met with us and spent a ton of time picking the right stone colors and hearth. They did a great job, were careful with the construction in our home and cleaned up beautifully afterward.

Great work! He built us a really nice fireplace with a wood storage area and big shelf I am going to put a pizza oven on. He was rained out a couple of days and a helper that didn't show up but all in all he got it done in a reasonable amount of time. It was a tricky install because we put it up against a brick retaining wall that had a curve in it and they blended it in beautifully. He did the wood storage area oversize because of the oven size I am getting. The stone he located matched our hot tub by the pool perfectly. He even fixed a drainage problem no charge. What's not to like?
StoneAge Stone constructed a pavilion with fireplace in our backyard. We are truly satisfied with their workmanship and attention to detail. We told Hugh what we wanted and he made it happen. We contacted Hugh to install a patio in our backyard so that we would have a place to BBQ and entertain. We knew we wanted it to be flagstone but little else. He came out and met with us within a day or two of receiving my call. He offered up so many options which led us to agree on the materials and final result. I have to say we are so very pleased with the project from start to finish. His attention to detail whether it was craftsmanship, scheduling or otherwise - is second to none. Hugh was onsite everyday and never left for the day without a full clean-up. We have thoroughly enjoyed our new space and our visitors have complimented the great work done. He is the BEST! I would highly recommend Hugh and his team and say they are top of the line in terms of honesty, quality, design and communication.

We used StoneAge Stonescapes for two projects, an outdoor fireplace and a sunroom rebuild. We could not be happier with the final result of both projects. Hugh was amazing and so easy to work with. StoneAge Stonescapes completed an amazing pizza oven for our backyard! Hugh was great to work with. He listened to my ideas and turned them into reality. He always responded quickly and communicated any issues such as rain in the forecast so I always knew what was going on. We have used the pizza oven multiple times and love it.
We shopped around for contractors to build our outdoor fireplace. We knew Hugh was the one from the beginning because he asked all the right questions and even helped us submit the necessary HOA paperwork. Both Hugh and Dave were dedicated to completing our project before the holidays and wonderful to work with from start to finish. We had a great experience with StoneAge. We hired them to install a Tuscan patio and outdoor kitchen. The project was complicated because of drainage issues with the build site and having to deal with county inspectors. Hugh did a great job designing and installing a drainage system and then built an absolutely beautiful outdoor kitchen. We could not be more pleased and we get so many positive comments from our friends and family.
Do not hesitate to call Hugh and use his services for your masonry work. Hugh is attentive, listens well, provides his expertise in layout and design. His team, lead by Juan, are punctual, hard working, and experts in the field. We obtained 3 quotes initially for our stone patio and fire pit. Hugh was excellent from his initial site review to bid the job, through to the end with clean. Our patio and fire pit are just perfect!

Hugh and his team sets the bar for quality, attention to detail, and communication. Nothing was ever a problem for Hugh who is very easy to work with. They also moved the sprinkler system and performed some landscape tasks. His team produced a quality patio for us. Pricing was comparable to other estimates, and I think the results were better.
We are absolutely thrilled with our fireplace. Hugh carefully cleaned bricks that we had and blended them with new ones...looks as though it was built when the home was 20 years ago - HIGHLY recommend using him!
We hired StoneAge Stonescapes to add pavers to our patio, a paver walkway to our driveway extension they also handled for us as well as a built in grill a tree wells in our backyard. They also removed exposed tree roots and resided our backyard. Really enjoyed our experience with Hugh and Juan on our back patio. Got our dilapidated backyard transformed into a great stone patio with fire pit, grill and beautiful landscaped space. Water management with gutter drains, wash out areas designed with beautiful walls and green space upgrades. Cap it off with lighting and help with our deck replacement, any microscopic concerns overwhelmed with positive feedback. Give these guys a call. I’m calling on them again.
We hired StoneAge Stonescapes in November of 2019 for a backyard patio/fireplace. My husband and I were unsure as to what overall design and materials we wanted and were very pleased when Hugh offered up a couple different design plans before we ultimately decided. We could not be happier with the entire experience. Although it took a bit longer than expected, the crew from StoneAge Stonescapes was very meticulous with their work and never took shortcuts. Their professionalism is what you want from any contractor. We were impressed with their daily cleanup of the work area and yard surrounding it. The finished product is more beautiful than we ever imagined it would be. We went with a stamped concrete patio with Tennessee fieldstone fireplace and seating wall. We have already enjoyed many fires and good times with it. Give these guys a call. You won't be disappointed.
Hugh and his team did a great job with our new flagstone patio and custom pavilion. He took time to make sure we were totally satisfied with each step of the project. The final product exceeded our expectations.
It's impossible to say enough good things about Hugh and his team but I'll try. We initially asked Hugh to design and install a Forno Bravo pizza oven. What we received was a patio, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and pizza oven. Every aspect of the design fit together. Their work entirely transformed our backyard and added so much value to our home. The quality of their work is unparalleled. They worked efficiently but never rushed the job. Every stone that they shaped and placed fit perfectly. We've been enjoying it for 2 months and now can't remember what the backyard looked like before the job. When Hugh priced out the project we thought it was fair. After the job was completed and we saw the quality of the work, we felt like we got a steal. We've had 2 separate contractors tell us how impressed they were with the workmanship and asked us for Hugh's information. We count ourselves lucky for finding StoneAge. Everyone on Hugh's team is friendly, professional, and incredibly skilled. We can't thank them enough.
We hired StoneAge to create a larger patio and backyard space and what we received far exceeded our expectations. Hugh and his team created a beautiful and large patio area with a firepit and seating wall in addition to lovely plantings and trees to enhance our backyard. Well its been about a month, and the pathway/patio look great. We had them come out put pavers down in a work area we needed. What impressed me the most, that we were out of town and kept us informed by phone and texts. He discovered a problem, with how far the a drop was from the house to the drive. He suggested a step, that was not going to work, since we needed to be able to use a wheel barrow. Well they worked there magic and it ended up with a nice incline that looked like it was suppose to be there all the time. Very pleased and happy with the work.
Our objective was to add steps, with handrails, and hardscape to connect our driveway to double doors and patio at the rear of our house, with the addition of a build in gas grill and hot tub. We wanted the design to fit our house and neighborhood and include landscaping, lighting, drainage and needed sprinkle system adjustments. Stoneage provided the best overall design, which included a drawing we could use for immediate HOA approval. They were not the lowest cost, but best reflected what we envisioned and were a one-stop shop providing the steps, handrails pavers, plants, mulch, sprinkler system adjustments and custom cabinet, gas line and installation of the grill. They also provided a conduit below the pavers for the hot tub electrical wiring and a low-voltage lighting system for the entire house. Once started they worked steadily and completed on time. The quality of work was excellent and they are committed to customer satisfaction. Highly recommended!

Stonescapes demolished an existing sunken patio. It was replaced with beautiful large Pennsylvania bluestone. The pieces were one and a half inches to 2 in thick and should last a lifetime. Hugh helped me choose the stones and was frequently on site to offer his expertise. He was thorough and extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of this project. I would definitely recommend Hugh Dixon and Stoneage Stonescapes.

We hired Hugh to install a paver patio under our deck, with irrigation and sod. This is the second job he’s done for us and we highly recommend him. He and his crew are very professional, detail-oriented and thorough. He brings a lot of experience and knowledge to the design process. He communicated throughout the project. His crew cleaned up very well after the work was done, including replacing the mulch that got covered with concrete dust. We’re very happy with both the experience and the finished results.

I would highly recommend this company. Hugh and his team were amazing, I believe 100% in quality and paying extra for Better work. We had a couple estimates and this project came down to two companies. Stone Age was more expensive when just comparing the numbers, but when you compared the actual work and quality between the two companies there was no comparison. It was a simple choice to use Hugh for the project. He educated us on every detail about the install of our patio and when we compared this to everyone else, we can see the difference of quality between companies. During the job I realized how much work it really was and how long the project took. The team was very respectful of our property and everything they did. We are very happy with StoneAge Stonescapes LLC who build an outdoor kitchen for us. The team is very reliable and responsible. Hugh is very much detail oriented and easy to work with. The project lasted over two month and we have to take a trip out of the country at the middle of the construction. Hugh was communicating with us via text and photo. We have a outdoor firepit right by the kitchen and it was not properly build. Hugh too it upon himself to help us fix it up. We really appreciate Hugh and his team for their professionalism and expert performance.

We hired StoneAge to create an outdoor living space/entertainment area and they went above and beyond our expectations. They built an outdoor grill/griddle, fireplace and extended our existing patio and covered the entire area with flagstone. They also did a beautiful job landscaping and brought in some gorgeous plants and trees. Lastly they replaced all the sod. Hugh’s team works extremely hard and pays such attention to detail. This was my second project with Hugh and I will assure you there will be a third. I had an Argentine Gaucho Grill Drop-In fabricated by JD Fabrications in Santa Maria, California, and needed to redesign a stone cabinet that Hugh had installed several years back. We came up with a plan and during construction modified it significantly, however, that is Hugh’s greatest strength to be able to make his original plan better. He was on time and communicated all along the way. If you want a great product, at a fair price, with a really good guy, you will not go wrong with StoneAge Stonescapes, LLC.
